In the basement of that place, they were kept hidden, on mattresses soiled with urine, feces, and blood. Shocked by this appalling reality, Prime Minister Ciolacu called for an urgent intervention to address the situation and ensure the protection and proper care of these vulnerable individuals.

Members of the Legal Resources Center (CRJ) reported a shocking scene at the Căsuța Lu’ Min Care and Assistance Center in the locality of Bărdești, Mureș County. Adults and children with severe disabilities were placed on unsanitary mattresses, covered in feces, urine, and blood, surrounded by flies.
This heart-wrenching impression stems from an unannounced visit conducted by CRJ representatives on Thursday, July 27th. The distressing situation has brought attention to the urgent need for intervention to ensure decent living conditions and proper care for these vulnerable individuals.

After receiving several complaints from neighbors of the facility, a team was sent to the scene to investigate the situation. Upon their arrival, they discovered 23 beneficiaries of the center accommodated in rooms, but also four other individuals with severe disabilities hidden in the building’s basement, subjected to inhumane conditions.
According to information provided by the Legal Resources Center (CRJ), which reported the visit on the association’s website and Facebook page, the patients were found lying on mattresses soiled with feces, urine, and blood, surrounded by flies.
This shocking discovery reveals that patients with severe disabilities, including children, were kept hidden in the basement of a nursing home in Mureș, where they lived in deplorable and unsanitary conditions.
Deeply concerned about this situation, the Legal Resources Center (CRJ) documented and brought these distressing details to the public’s attention. Following this information, Prime Minister Ciolacu requested an urgent intervention to address this issue and ensure proper care and respect for the dignity of these vulnerable individuals.

CRJ further specifies that one of the individuals was in an advanced state of malnutrition, with injuries to the hip, “covered in flies and emitting a strong odor of feces.”
“Another person in the basement was covered in feces and blood on their face and hands. The other two individuals were immobile and unable to communicate, being extremely frightened when we attempted to approach them,” CRJ further reveals.
